Simon Weaver KPMG's Global Head of ESG Advisory. With over 15 years of experience at the Board level, Simon focuses on enabling companies to achieve their climate and broader ESG ambitions. Formerly an audit partner, he understands the financial implications of sustainability decisions and how to best embed sustainability thinking in to broader enterprise strategies. Simon helps major clients with their sustainability transformations - across strategic, reporting and technology lenses. He served as KPMG's representative on the TCFD and sat on the ISSB's technical reference group. Passionate about Sustainable value creation, he has worked with the WBCSD on creating a framework for helping companies build the business case for sustainability.
Bruno Vanwelsenaers is CEO of WEAREONE.world, the company behind the globally renowned Tomorrowland brand. He joined the organization in 2012 as International Director, where he played a pivotal role in launching Tomorrowland’s first global editions in the United States and Brazil. Since becoming CEO in 2022, Bruno has led the transformation of Tomorrowland from a leading music festival into a global entertainment company. With a background at Alpro and The Boston Consulting Group, he combines strategic expertise with a deep understanding of brand building and international growth.
Bindi is passionate about technology entrepreneurship and investing in the European innovation ecosystem. She advises and connects across four innovation pillars (Corporates, Startups, Venture Capitalists, Government) for commercial success. She has worked as a Strategy Consultant (PwC), at Microsoft Ventures, Trayport, and at Silicon Valley Bank. Recognized as a SuperConnector across Europe by GQ UK, the IoD, Wired and The Evening Standard, she is a long term Board Advisor and has served on the Boards of the EU European Innovation Council, Startup Europe, and the University of East London and was appointed by WEF to the Digital Leaders of Europe group. She is an investor and advisor, has sat on the AdBoard of a Venture Debt fund, a Venture Partner for Molten Ventures, and is currently Non-Exec Director on two FTSE 250 Boards: Zigup plc and Telecom Plus plc. Bindi is British born, raised in Alberta, Canada, her entire family is from Kenya, but London is home. Â
Michiel Scheffer, a Dutch national, has three decades of experience in business, academia and public policy. He is equipped with a wide network in the world of research and innovation and has a remarkable professional experience of more than 20 years in the field of innovation, including on breakthrough technologies, disruptive innovations, start-ups impact investment.

From June 1st 2023 he is the President of the Board of the European Innovation Council, appointed by the European Commission. He is a strong believer in technological progress and innovation and its transformative power for a better society and for new generations.
Ana Casaca has over 20 years of experience in innovation and technology transfer. She began her career in San Francisco as a researcher under a Fulbright and AICEP scholarship before transitioning into corporate entrepreneurship. Ana focuses on driving growth through technology, startups, and ecosystem development.
She holds a degree in Microbiology from the Portuguese Catholic University and an MBA from Porto Business School, where she is an Invited Professor. She is also an Invited Associate Professor at ISEG. Additionally, she serves as an Expert Evaluator for Portuguese and European R&D programs.
Andre Convents is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of international experience at Procter & Gamble, one of the top 25 companies by market capitalization globally. At P&G, he led global technology and innovation initiatives, managing strategic alliances and collaborations with universities, companies, and institutes. He spearheaded the open innovation program for a $20 billion business unit and co-founded the startup accelerator at P&G.
Recognised as an innovation expert, Andre serves on executive boards of industry associations and public-private partnerships. He co-founded three startups, guiding them from conception to exit, and participates in venture capital investment committees and the EIC jury.
Andre holds a PhD in brain research from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and is the inventor or author of over 30 patents and peer-reviewed publications. He is also a valorization expert at the Center-4-Neurosciences.

Yousef Yousef is the Founder and CEO of LG Sonic, a global leader in green technology
innovation, transforming water quality management across 96 countries and positively
impacting over 50 million people. Under his leadership, LG Sonic has reduced chemical
dependency in sectors such as water utilities and nuclear plants, setting a benchmark for
scalable and sustainable solutions. The company is also actively supporting multiple
governments in building large-scale water infrastructure projects, contributing to long-term
water security and environmental sustainability.

Vareska van de Vrande is Professor of Collaborative Innovation and Business Venturing at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Vareska joined RSM in 2007 after completing a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management Science at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Her expertise focuses on the areas of corporate venturing and collaborative innovation, including external technology sourcing, corporate venture capital investments, strategic alliances, and corporate-startup collaboration. Other research interests include (corporate) entrepreneurship, patents, and venture capital. She has published articles in leading academic journals, including the Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, Journal of Operations Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Product Innovation Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and the Journal of Business Venturing. At RSM, Vareska teaches courses and modules in Strategic Management and Corporate Venturing at the graduate and post-experience level. Â
In addition, Vareska is a co-founder of the Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Community, a platform that brings together academics and practitioners to exchange insights and best practices in the area of corporate venturing. She was also the co-founder and Academic Lead of Erasmus Enterprise (the incubator organization of Erasmus University), a member of the Supervisory Board of YES!Delft (the TU Delft incubator), and co-founder of two web-portals on open innovation (www.openinnovatie.nl  and www.openinnovation.eu ). Currently, she acts as a board member at Venture Café Rotterdam (part of the Cambridge Innovation Center).
